Also has Blue Flag status and is famous for long beach walks. Swimming recommended where Life guards are on duty. Robberg Beach stretches for kilometres between the Robberg Peninsula and Beacon Island. Facilities include public toilets and various parking areas; 2 km from centre of town.
Central or Main Beach
Central or Main beach is popular with families with children. Life guards also on duty. It’s the launch site for Marine Safaris, Dive charters and Ocean kayaking tours. There are restaurants, bars, public toilets and the local National Sea Rescue Station headquarters. During the peak December/January holiday period, summer festivals and popular water and beach events take place here.
Keurboomstrand Beach - Blue Flag Status is 10 kilometers from the center of town. A beautiful wild beach, Life guards on duty in season. The facilities include a restaurant, public toilets, wheelchair access and free parking.
Nature's Valley Beach
Nature's Valley Beach – Blue Flag Status. This beautiful beach is 25 kilometers from the center of town. It is in walking distance of the pristine Salt River Mouth. Life guards are on duty in season. The lagoon is also a favorite with families. Facilities include a restaurant, public toilets, wheelchair access and parking.
